Club Splash portal

This Club Splash portal will allow you to:

  • Create a competition
  • Set up the scoreboard

Workflow:

  1. Login using the credentials provided to you by Swimming NSW
  2. If you are starting from scratch and there are existing athletes in the database, first delete these swimmers.
  3. Enter competition details and swimmers in bulk via csv import
  4. Enter swimmers individually (optional)
  5. Review the list of swimmers and/or edit details (optional)
  6. Delete swimmers (optional)
  7. Create the competition and download documents
  8. Setup the scoreboard. Please note down the login details provided when you do this for your judge on the day.

Note:

  • Competition name, format and teams can be updated, and more swimmers added, without impacting existing swimmers in the system.
  • After logging out and back in, all data is retained.
  • Data is unique to individual users and cannot be shared between users.
  • Only 1 event can be created at a time.
  • The scoreboard can host multiple events, provided they have different names.
  • Competition creation can be repeated if required.
  • Scoreboard updating can be repeated if required. We recommend against changing the event name.

Competition Creating System login permissions (for SNSW use only):

  • Subscriber: Recommended for Event Managers. Can create and manage their own events (only).
  • Swim Manager: Recommended for SNSW administrators. Can create, delete and manage individual users.

Scoreboard

The Scoreboard will allow:

  • Competition audience on or offsite to monitor the live score before, during and after the event
  • Event Judge to update the score during the competition

The scoreboard is hosted on a separate server (for resilience reasons) and accessible here: score.swimleague.com.au This URL should be publicised to event audience members.

It can be initially configured for a competition and edited by the Competition Creation System. Judging use during the competition requires direct login access. Login details for judges are created via the Competition Creation System.

Scoreboard login permissions (for SNSW use only):

  • Judge: Recommended for scorers during an event. Can update scores, team names and logos for the designated event only.
  • Swim Admin: Recommended for SNSW administrators. Can create new users, and manually create, edit and delete new and existing events.
